Below we have a simple example of some molecules

Example of some molecules

With some molecules in place we can now run the filter function.

Clicking the Filter button will open a dialog box.

On the left, you can see the range of cells that the code has identified as containing SMILES (or images that were once SMILES). It’s worth noting that the identification isn’t 100% accurate so make sure you check the range.

Once you’re happy define the structure you wish to filter by.

Filter defined

Once you have defined the structure click either Sub-Substructure filter to filter by the structure you defined or Similarity Filter which match sub-structures with a varying degree of similarity (default is 0.7. 1 is an absolute match.).

A filter will be appled to the molecules.
